Harley Davidson New Rear CAM Roller Bearing Assembly Service Bulletin

This service bulletin will guide you to remove and install the New Rear CAM roller bearing assembly on Harley Davidson motorcycle. Cam bearings may be a loose fit in the cam support plate. To avoid possible damage, be aware that camshaft and bearing assemblies may drop out at start of press procedure. Press out camshafts and bearings following existing service procedures. Regardless of model, see page 3- 83 of the 2000 FLT Models Service Manual, CAMSHAFTS/ CAMSHAFT BEARINGS, REMOVAL, steps 1-8. If reusing a rear camshaft that has the new style roller bearing installed, remove the bearing inner race and thrust washer as follows: Position WEDGE ATTACHMENT (HD-95637-46A) on inboard side of thrust washer and turn hex nuts an equal number of turns to draw halves of wedge together. Slide one bolt into channel on each side of bridge, so that flat washer is between bridge and bolt head. Thread bolts into wedge attachment an equal number of turns. 2008 Honda CR-V Engine Block Heater Installation Instruction

Tools and Supplies Required: Phillips screwdriver, Flat-tip screwdriver, Ratchet, 10 mm and 24 mm Sockets, Torque wrench, Diagonal cutters, Heavy gloves, Drain pan, Tape measure, White marker, Coolant (Honda All-Season Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2), Blanket
Drill, 3 mm and 7 mm Drill bits, 10 mm Hex wrench, Pushpin, Fender cover. Installation Procedures: Always use Honda All-Season Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2. Using a non-Honda coolant can result in corrosion, causing the cooling system to malfunction or fail. To avoid burning out the element, do not operate the engine block heater before it is installed in the vehicle and before you add coolant. The information in this installation instruction is intended for use only by skilled technicians who have the proper tools, equipment, and training to correctly and safely add equipment to your vehicle. These procedures should not be attempted by
“do-it-yourselfers.” Make sure you have the anti-theft codes for the radio and navigation system (if equipped), then write down
the radio presets. Open the hood, and allow the engine and all cooling system components to cool down. Disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery, open the positive cable cover, and disconnect the positive (+) cable and clip from the battery. Unfasten
the two battery holder nuts, and remove the battery holder.

Toyota MR2 Spider Technical Training - Manual Transmissions & Transaxles

1. Identify the purpose and function of the sequential manual transmission 2. Identify and describe the operation of the following sequential manual transmission components: a. Hydraulic Power Unit b. Gear Shift Actuator c. Shift lever d. Shift Lever Switches e. Transmission Control ECU f. ECM. Describe diagnostic equipment and tests for sequential manual transmissions, including: a. Diagnostic Tester b. Pinpoint Tests c. ECU Relearning The sequential manual transmission is based on the C Series five speed manual transaxle, and was introduced on the 2002 MR2 Spyder. The clutch pedal and master cylinder have been replaced with an actuator that is electronically controlled. Sequential Manual Transmission System Components. The transmission control ECU controls the pump assembly and the actuator assembly to engage or disengage the clutch and shift the gears. The Hydraulic Power Unit assembly generates hydraulic pressure for the shift operating system and the clutch release cylinder. Stroke Sensors : The gear shift actuator houses three sensors that monitor the shift stroke and select stroke of the shift and select lever shaft assembly, and the clutch stroke. The sequential manual transmission uses a control by wire type shift lever. The shift position and the movement of the shift lever are detected through the combination of the four switches that are integrated in the shift lever position sensor.

BMW ZF-5HP-19 Transmission Technical Service Manual

This transmission is manufactured in Germany by ZF and carries the designation ZF-5HP-19. The ZF-5HP-19 Series is an electronically controlled, five speed automatic transmission with a lock-up clutch type torque converter. Two planetary gear sets, one Ravingneaux gear set and one standard planetary gear set on the output side, four rotating multiple disc clutches, three multiple disc brake clutches, and one sprag clutch (Freewheel) are used to provide the five forward speeds and reverse. The transmission found in BMW 97-Current, 3 Series E46, 5 Series E39, 7 Series E38. Audi 95-Current, A4, A8, Audi 97-Current, A6,
Porsche Boxter 1996-1997 VW Passat 96-Current. Standard versions have a shift quadrant using only the left gate as shown above. The versions that are equipped with One-Touch Control, supplied as an option and model dependent, have a two section shift
quadrant, also shown above. Positions P, R, N, D, 4, 3, 2, can be selected in the left-hand gate and all shifts are automatic depending on which selection was made. When the selector lever is placed in the right-hand gate, the transmission can be up-shifted manually, by tapping the lever in the direction of the “Plus” symbol, or down-shifted manually by tapping the lever in the direction of the “Minus” symbol. The seperate program switch is no longer needed, as functions A and B have replaced it. If the speed of the accelerator pedal movement is greatly varied, the shift points are modified for maximum fuel economy, or a more sporting driving style accordingly. There are three shift patterns for this purpose. When a system fault is detected which could impair normal reliable operation, the ECU module interrupts the power supply to Pin 12 at the transmission case connector. The ECU module also alerts the driver of any faults by signaling the vehicles “check control” system.
